Biography
Ahn, Young In received his B.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences from Seoul National University where he pursued his graduate studies in Numerical Weather Prediction. In 1995, after finishing Ph.D. courses, he joined the Seoul Broadcasting System(SBS) as a weather and science special correspondent. From 2014 to 2015, he took his sabbatical leave with Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, San Diego, CA, USA. For 25 years, he has written professional stories on climate change, particulate matter, and weather. Thanks to his stand-out news packages, he received the ‘Korea Green Climate Awards’ Grand Prize in 2016, awarded by The National Assembly Forum on Climate Change. In 2018, he received the ‘Climate Change Grand Leaders Award’ from the Climate Change Center. He is the author of『Signal, The Warnings of Climate Change』(2018).
