Biography
Jeongsook Yoon started with the ‘Korean WomenLink’ activity in 1987 and devoted herself to a women’s movement in her 30s and 40s. She focused on women's labor, gender policy, and budget assessment, and her main interests were gender-discriminated labor market and gender-sensitive policy and budget.
Afterwards, as a standing director of the “Beautiful Foundation,” she conducted a citizen-participating sharing movement through the “1% Sharing Movement”. Currently, she is engaged in environmental and ecological movements as a joint representative of the Green Korea United. She believes that the change of social system and values for the transition from industrial civilization to ecological civilization is an important task, and in particular, she is very active in the areas of climate crisis, ecofeminism, and public-private environmental governance.
