Su-hoon Lee is a former Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan. He started his career as a professor in Kyungnam University in March 1987. His study and career mainly aim at peace on Northeast Asia and North Korean issues. He was a Director for the Institute for Far Eastern Studies in Kyungnam University since February 2009. He was a Chairman for the Subcommittee for Foreign Affairs and Security, State Affairs Planning Advisory Committee in 2017. In October 2017~May 2019, he assumed his position as Korean Ambassador to Japan. He is currently a Chair Professor at the Kyungnam University.
