Haiming Xing was born in Tianjin, China in November 1964 and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986. Ambassador Xing has worked multiple times at the Embassy of China in the ROK and the Embassy of China in the DPRK. He has continued his career as the Deputy Chief of Missions of the Embassy of China in the DPRK and the ROK, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Embassy of Mongolia. Haiming Xing was assigned as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the Embassy of the ROK in January 2020. Ambassador Xing is known for his title ‘Expert on the Korean Peninsula’ for being fluent in Korean and for his long-term contribution to diplomatic work in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.
