
Biography
Yoo Jay Kun (CEO, of CGN TV; former member of the National Assembly) received his B.A. and M.A. at the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, Yonsei University. He received an M.S. from Brigham Young Univ., Ph. D in Sociology from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a J.D. in Law from the University of California, Davis. He practiced law in the United States, and after returning to Korea, worked as an executive at World Vision and President of YP Books. He started his political career in 1996 as a member of the 15th, 16th, and 17th National Assemblies. Mr. Yoo held positions such as Chairman of the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly in 2004, President of the Third Standing Committee at the Inter-Parliamentary(IPU) in 2005, Chairman of the URI Party and its policy research institute in 2006, and member of the IPU Executive Committee in 2007. He is currently President of the Korea Youth Hostels Association and CEO of CGN TV. He has also hosted television programs including debate programs at MBS and KBS, and My Mother at CTS.
