Mr Gi-Cheol Yang currently serves as the Director General of the Tourism Bureau in charge of the entire tourism industry in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. And he is holding a post as the chairman of the Jeju Convention and Visitors Bureau as well. Previously, he was appointed to roles of great importance such as an executive secretary of the Audit Committee, the director of the International Trade Dept., and the Director of the Special Self-governing Dept.. Mr Yang was born in 1968 in Aewol, Jeju. He studied Law at Hanyang University, Seoul for his bachelor’s degree and earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Colorado State University, US.
