Biography
Mr. Song Jinho is the Vice President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Before this, he served as a leader in a variety of civil society organizations & networks including Co-Chair of Busan CSO Network in Korea, Co-Chair of the Busan Public-Private Network for Social Economy Promotion, Chairman of Busan Democracy Forum(BuDF), board member of Busan Democracy Foundation, board member as well as an organizer of Korea Network for Social Enterprise Promotion, and Co-Chair of Global Call to Action against Poverty (G-CAP Korea) and G-CAP East Asia. He has been Senior Executive Secretary of the National Council of Korea YMCAs, Executive Director of Korea YMCA Global Citizenship Center, and Secretary-General of Ulsan YMCA and Busan YMCA since 1986 for 32 years. Mr. Song served as an organizer for the Global Civil Society Forum in the High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) in Busan, board member of KAIDEC (Korea Association of International Development Cooperation), steering committee member of KoFID(Korea Civil Society Forum on International Development) and KCOC(Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation), and Co-Chair of the steering committee for Asian Bridge (former Asia NGO Center). Mr. Song majored in Statistics and earned his degree in economics from Korea University, ROK, in 1985. From 1999 to 2001, he was a visiting scholar at the Theological Seminary, USA.
