Biography

Anselmo LEE has been an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy and Civic Engagement at Kyunghee University since 2008. (global governance, human rights, SDGs, etc.) Internationally, he is one of the founders and senior advisers to the Asia Development Alliance (ADA), a regional forum of national development CSO platforms in Asia on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Asia Democracy Network (ADN). He used to be a board member of CIVICUS, World Alliance for Citizens’ Participation (2013-2015). He is a member of the Policy Advisory Committee and Human Rights Expert Committee for the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Policy Committee of the Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation (KCOC). Previously, he, as a civil servant, worked for the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) as Director General in charge of policy and education (2008-2010). He also served as Executive Director of the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA), a Bangkok-based regional human rights NGO (2005-2008.4) after working in Geneva for 8 years (1997-2004) as Secretary General of the International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs (ICMICA)-Pax Romana, the global network of Catholic professionals and intellectuals committed to social justice and human rights.
