Dong-Ju Choi is a professor at the School of Global Services, Sookmyung Women’s University, and serves as Executive Director of Sookmyung Institute of Global Governance. His fields of interest include international political economy, conflicts and the economy, state finance, and development models. Currently, he is vice president of the Korean Association of African Studies and a board member of several academic societies, including the Korean Association of International Studies. He has done policy work for various government organizations, including the Korean Ministry of Education and the Ministry of HR Innovation, as well as for the United Nations and its agencies. Professor Choi obtained his Ph.D. in political economy from the University of London in 1996 and an M.A. in international affairs from the American University in 1992.
