Biography

Cho Han Bum received a Ph.D degree in sociology from Saint Petersburg State University with his thesis work on the Russian system transition in 1994. He has been studying on socialist system transition and unification issue at the Korea Institute for National Unification(KINU) since 1995, and he is currently lecturing at Korea University. He is a senior research fellow at KINU. Also, he is in charge of the DMZ World Eco-Peace Park business project at KINU. He successively served as a consultant to the presidential transition committee and the government advisory committee. And he served as the director of the Center for Inter-Korean Cooperation Studies at KINU. He has authored several publications, including 'Comparative Study on China and Russia's Economic System Transition', 'Study on Unification Costs-Benefits in Political, Economic and Social Area', 'Structure of Crisis on North Korean System and Prospects of Change in Society'.
