Dr. Kang hyun-soo was born in 1964. After earning a B. A and M.A. degrees from Seoul National University, He has worked as the President, of Chungnam Research Institute and became a professor of Urban and Regional Planning at Joongbu University. He has also been working as the President of the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements since 2018. Also, he is a Member of Committee, Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development, and Member of Committee, Green Growth Korea. He has authored several publications including, The Political Economy of Space, Acanet (2000), The City as a Forum for Communication and Networking: Its Roles and Forms in the Digital Era, Samsung Economic Research Institute (2007), The Rights to the City, Chaeksesang (2010)
