Biography
William Cannon Hunter is a Professor in the Department of Convention Management and Graduate Global Track Department at the College of Hotel and Tourism Management, Kyung Hee University, Seoul (since 2009). He was previously a visiting professor at Cheju National University (since 2004). He earned his Ph.D. at Texas A&M University (1999), and his major research interests include tourism destination imagery, cultural representation, and subjectivity using Q and V and other interpretive methods. He publishes articles in KCI and SSCI international journals and books; and is involved in Indigenous issues projects related to tourism and sustainability in Taiwan, Korea, and the Asia region. He has worked with the UN organization and ICLEI, and lectures on culture and tourism-related topics in the Asia region. He is also involved in the Smart Tourism Research Center based at Kyung Hee University.
