U.S.-China relations can be regarded as a hegemonic competition in East Asia since the Chinese “One Belt, One Road” seeks a gateway toward the ocean. America’s “Rebalancing” blocks the Chinese pathway on the continent. Sino-American relations face a turning point. While the Chinese economy gets stuck in a recession and stagnation, the U.S. reemerges as the superpower in the military and economy. In this session, participants will discuss U.S.-China relations and present prospects for peace and prosperity in East Asia.
