Even though some efforts to establish the multilateral security system in East Asia have been made, the result is not as apparent as expected. To establish the East Asian Community, first of all, an institutional strategy is required for the settlement of conflicts and an increase in cooperation among the countries in the region. The Jeju Process, from the 4th Jeju Forum, proposed to apply the Helsinki process in East Asia. This session is intended to serve as a venue for specialists to discuss the establishment of a multilateral security system in East Asia.
- Is it possible to practice the Helsinki Process, which was the basis for the CSCE and the EU?
- The future of a multilateral security system in East Asia.
- The current state and future vision of the Jeju Process adopted in the 4th Jeju Forum.
- Moderator
MOON Chung-in (Professor, Department of Political Science, Yonsei University)

Nodari A. SIMONIYA (Professor, MGIMO University/Former Director of IMEMO)
