Korea has recently focused on the development of a marine leisure industry, but such activities in Jeju remain minimal despite the island’s strong dependency on tourism. Therefore, JDC is planning a new project, “Ocean Marina City,” to take advantage of this new opportunity and Jeju’s beautiful scenery surrounded by a clean sea. It is very timely for the experts in this field from the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and countries that have well-developed marine leisure industries to come together and exchange views for the development of a marine leisure industry in Jeju.
