					In this session, aSSIST researchers will take a close look at the major issues and trends of the world today and discuss how they might affect business and the economy. One of the issues to be covered is the recent earthquake in Japan and its aftermath. Under the theme of Green Mega Trends, the panelists will examine how Japan’s nuclear accident will impact the global environment and, consequently, the business environment. Specifically, this session will discuss global energy policy and predict changes in global energy demand; it will also discuss changes in low-carbon markets, the future of green health care, and preparations for the worst-case nuclear accidents.
