Democracy has re-emerged as the key issue in the international community, with the rapidly spreading wave of democratization in North Africa and the Middle East. Against this backdrop, this session will discuss the expected leadership of the Republic of Korea, which achieved both industrialization and democratization within a generation, for promoting democracy and human rights in the Asian region.
