Sustainable development for current and future generations is hard to achieve without balanced growth and progress in every three aspects: economy, society, and environment. Although international society stressed this issue through the Rio+20 United Nations Conference in 2012, the situation of environmental problems is getting worse because of our careless use of water, food, and energy which are our limited, yet, core resources for human beings and earth today and in the future. Energy depletion and shortage of food and water cause hindrances to economic development which affects the most damaged on socially vulnerable classes. Despite this feature, the issue of water, food, and energy is hard to solve individually due to the enormous demand itself and the possibility of nexus that one resource can be used with other resources. Therefore, this session provides an opportunity to achieve a better understanding of water, food, and energy issues with basic principles for integrated approaches further, and search for specific action plans.
