	The Nuclear Threat Initiative(NTI) 핵 위협 이니셔티브 Counselor 수석 자문관 John Carlson is Counselor to the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), Washington, member of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament, and Nonresident Fellow, Lowy Institute. He was previously Director General of the Australian Safeguards and Non-Proliferation Office 1989-2010. Concurrent appointments included Chairman of the IAEA’s Standing Advisory Group on Safeguards Implementation (SAGSI) 2001-06, founding Chair of the Asia-Pacific Safeguards Network 2009-12, and Australia’s Sherpa to the first Nuclear Security Summit, in Washington in 2010. 존 칼슨은 워싱턴 핵위협이니셔티브(NTI) 자문관이자 핵 비확산 및 군축을 위한 아시아태평양 리더쉽 네트워크(APLN) 회원이며, 호주 로위연구소 객원연구원이다. 1989년부터2010년까지 호주 안전조치와 비핵화 기구 소장을 맡은 바 있다. 또한, 2001년부터 20006년까지 IAEA 안전조치이행자문단(SAGSI) 위원장, 2009년부터2012년까지 Asia-Pacific Safeguards Network 초대 이사장, 2010년에 워싱턴에서 열린 제1차 핵안보정상회의 호주 업무조정관을 비롯한 여러 직위를 역임하였다.
