진희종은 제주대학교 언론홍보학과 강사이다. 기후·위기 극복을 위해 중요한 생태자원에 대해 자기보존의 법적 권리를 갖도록 하는 ‘Eco Legal Person’ 개념을 학문적으로 정립하고 대중적 확산에 노력하고 있다. 대한민국 최초로 친환경 학교급식의 이념과 비전을 제시하고 전국적 일반화의 기틀을 제공하였다. 현재 제주올레 자문위원이다. 예전에는 제주국제대학교 특임교수, 제주특별자치도 감사위원회 감사위원을 역임하였으며, KBS제주에서 라디오 시사 생방송 프로그램 <진희종의 제주진단>의 MC로도 활약하였다.

Jin Hee-jong is a lecturer in the Department of Public Relations at Jeju National University. He is working to establish the concept of ‘Eco Legal Person’ academically and spread it to the public to have the legal right of self-preservation for important ecological resources in order to overcome climate and crises. He presented the ideology and vision of eco-friendly school lunch for the first time in Korea and provided a framework for national generalization. He is currently a member of the Jeju Olle Advisory Board. Previously, he served as a special professor at Jeju International University, as an audit committee member of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province audit committee, and as an MC for the live radio current affairs program <Jin Hee-jong's Jeju Diagnosis> on KBS Jeju.
