인남식 국립외교원 교수의 주 연구분야는 중동지역 정세 특히 갈등의 문제, 미국의 대중동정책 및 종교에 기반한 폭력적 극단주의 테러리즘으로 현재 관련 분야를 조언하는 국가안보실 자문위원으로 활동하고 있다. 연세대 정치학사 및 석사 취득후 영국 Durham 대 중동이슬람 연구센터에서 중동정치학 박사학위를 받았고, 이후 이스라엘 예루살렘 히브리대학 트루만 연구소에서 방문학자를 역임했다.


Nam-sik IN is a professor at the Department of Middle Eastern and African Studies, Korea National Diplomatic Academy. He mainly reads the Middle East affairs which include protracted conflicts in the region, US's Middle East policy and international terrorism related violent extremism. He received his Ph.D in the Centre for Middle Eastern and Islamic Affairs, University of Durham, UK as well as B.A, M.A from Yonsei University. Dr. In was a visiting scholar at Truman Institute of Hebrew Univerity in Israel and Middle East Institute of Durham University in the UK. Currently, he is an advisory member of the National Security Council.
