장성은은 시카고 미대(SAIC)에서 디자인을 전공했으며 뉴욕과 이탈리아에서 커리어를 쌓은 후 한국에 돌아와 YOLK를 창업 했다. 첫 번째 제품인 솔라페이퍼는 종이처럼 얇고 가벼운 휴대용 태양광 충전기로 CES 혁신상을 수상하였으며 킥스타터에서 백만불 펀딩에 성공했다.
장성은은 아프리카 아이 다섯 명 중 한 명이 겪고 있는 아동 노동 문제와 농촌지역의 전기보급 불균형 문제를 해결하기 위해 솔라카우 프로젝트를 런칭하였으며 2019년 CES 혁신상을 비롯하여 벨기에의 Aidex, 독일의 iF 소셜 프라이즈, Green award등 다수의 세계 권위의 상을 수상하였으며 2021년 한국이 의장국으로 주최하는 P4G 정상회의의 파트너쉽 프로젝트로서 솔라카우를 발표하였다.

SungUn majored in object design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, embarking on her design career in New York and Italy before returning to Korea to establish YOLK. Its first innovation, Solar Paper, is a paper-thin solar charger, which has also won the CES Innovation Award. Solar Paper raised US$1 million on Kickstarter.
SungUn CHANG was inspired to launch the Solar Cow project to solve two challenges: one in five children in Africa cannot go to school due to the prevalence of child labour; while 80% of people in rural areas do not have access to electricity. Solar Cow won CES innovation Award 2019, AidEx 1stprize, iF social Impactprize, Green award, and selected as partnership project at P4G summit in 2021.
