Originally from rural Canada, Dr. Lonnie Edge has called South Korea home for roughly 18 years. As a Korean Government Scholarship student, he completed his Master’s and Ph.D degrees in International Relations at Sogang University and Yonsei University respectively and he is currently an Assistant Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. In addition to his professorial duties, he is kept busy in his roles as the Managing Editor for two academic journals published by Yonsei University, namely North Korean Review and the Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies.

Dr. Lonnie Edge’s recent research includes a book chapter on Inter-Korean Relations in the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Contemporary Korea. His research interests include Northeast Asian Relations, Inter-Korean Relations, IR theory, and Politics of Identity.

캐나다 지방출신인 로니 에지 박사는 18년동안 한국에 거주하면서 한국을 고향으로 여기고 있다. 한국 정부의 장학생으로 국제관계학 석사와 박사 학위를 각각 서강대학교와 연세대학교에서 마쳤으며, 한국외국어대학교 조교수로 근무하고 있다. 또한, 연세대학교의 학술지 North Korean Review 와 The Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies의 편집에디터로서 바쁜 나날을 보내고 있다.
에지 박사는 곧 발간되는 Routledge Handbook of Contemporary Korea에서 남북관계에 관련된 장을 저술하고 있으며, 동북아시아 관계, 남북관계, 국제정치 이론, 정체성의 정치 등에 연구 분야에 관심을 가지고 있다.
