KIM Jeeyong 김지용
	Korea Naval Academy 해군사관학교 Professor 교수 Dr. Jeeyong Kim is a Professor of Department of International Relations at the ROK Naval Academy. He holds B.A. in Economics and M.A. in International Relation from Yonsei University and Ph.D in Political Science from State University of New York at Buffalo. He works as a member of Department of Defense Military Masterpiece Publication Committee, as a adjunct professor of Maritime Research Institute and as a member of the editorial board of Maritime Security. He is conducting two studies. One is a theory-oriented study, which focuses on the effect of audience cost on military crisis. This is supported by the National Research Foundation (2015-2023). The other is a policy-oriented study, which analyzes the usefulness of American Distributed Maritime Operations and Ghost Fleet against Chinese hybrid war. This is supported by the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (2020). His recent publications include International Security: Theory and Practice(2019), “Opposition Parties’ Congressional Control Power, Points during Leaders’ Tenure, and Audience Cost”(2019), “Power Transition and the Struggle for Maritime Hegemony”(2019), “Democracy and War Victory”(2020), “US President’s Sensitivity to Public Opinion and Audience Cost”(2020), “Shall the 21c US Repeat the 19c Great Britain’s Blunder?”(2020). 현 해군사관학교 국제관계학과 교수. 연세대에서 경제학과 국제관계학으로 학사와 석사를 취득하고 뉴욕주립대에서 정치학 박사학위를 취득했다. 현재 국방부 군사명저 출간위원회 위원, 해양연구소 겸임연구원, 해양안보 편집위원회 위원으로 활동하고 있다. 한국연구재단의 지원으로 2015년부터 2023년까지 군사위기와 청중비용 관련 연구를 수행해 오고 있으며, 한국해양전략연구소의 지원으로 중국의 하이브리드전에 대항하기 위한 미국의 분산해양작전 및 유령함대 관련 연구를 수행하고 있다. 최근 연구로는 『국제안보의 이해: 이론과 실제』(2019, 공역), “야당의 의회 장악력, 지도자의 재임시점 그리고 청중비용”(2019), “세력전이와 해양패권 쟁탈전”(2019), “민주주의와 전쟁승리”(2020), “미국 대통령의 여론 민감도와 청중비용”(2020), “21세기 미국은 19세기 영국의 실책을 반복할 것인가”(2020) 등이 있다.
